History of British Airways
British Airways was formed in March 1974 as a result of a merger between two international and two domestic carriers. The airline currently operates a fleet of 275 aircraft making it the largest carrier in the UK based on fleet size. The fleet of British Airways aircraft consist predominantly Airbus and Boeing aircraft including the Airbus A380-800 and the Boeing 777-300ER.
